Fanmi Lavalas has heard the calling of the
American government, through its ambassador stationed in
Port-au-Prince. Unfortunately, the American government has remained
deaf to the voice of Haitian families who continue to mourn the
assassination of their close ones in Bel-Air, Solino, Cite Soleil,
Saint-Martin, Carrefour-Feuilles, Cayes, Jeremie, Petit Goave, etc.
The echo of suffering of our
militants in containers submerged in the sea off of Cap Haitian by
terrorists baptized “the Army of the North” prevents the human
conscience to rest in peace. The families of the sons and daughters of
Haiti who have been summarily executed in Gonaives, in Cap Haitian, in
the Central Plateau, in Port-au-Prince by the so-called
“freedom-fighters”, demand justice and reparations.
Fanmi Lavalas is a political
organization fighting for the establishment of a Haiti of justice, of
freedom and of integration of all Haitians. In this dark moment
of brutal interruption of the democratic process in Haiti, Fanmi Lavalas
maintains its position of abstaining from designating its representative
to the next Provisional Electoral Council as long as these murders,
persecutions, arbitrary arrests, and destruction of personal belongings
of our members and sympathizers continues to prevail.
Fanmi Lavalas takes the opportunity to announce to
its members the holding of an upcoming meeting, for which the place and
date will be subsequently specified, to debate several points concerning
the organization specially, the electoral question.
